There are two ways to deal with challenges, daily demands or things that frustrate us and bother us: we either escape or we elevate.
Frankly, there isn’t anything wrong with occasional escaping by grabbing a cocktail with your bestie or crushing on the couch and watching a funny movie.
But if you escape more than you elevate, if you numb your emotions and lack of fulfillment by overeating, substance abuse or binge-watching Netflix, the only escape is elevation.
Elevation and escape both stand on habits. Do you go for a run when you feel frustrated or do you grab a cupcake?
Do you pour yourself another glass of Chardonnay after a stressful day or do you sit down and meditate for 10 minutes?
Your growth and mindset elevation stand on simple habits you do regularly. If you want to stop escaping, you need to find new habits that elevate you.
In today’s podcast episode, I am going to share with you how to stop numbing your emotions through escaping and how to use elevation to build the life you don’t need to escape from.
